Barclay James Harvest went through a series of changes in producers before finally taking on the role themselves, and their album “Gone to Earth” maintained the successful blend of orchestral pop and grandeur that was first showcased in their previous album “Octoberon”. However, John Lees couldn’t resist the urge to respond to the band’s critics by creating a new song called “Poor Man’s Moody Blues”, which was a reworking of The Moody Blues’ classic “Nights In White Satin”.
