Dans les années 1960, Manfred Ebanda forme un duo très célèbre avec la chanteuse Villa Vienne, qu’il épouse en 1965. Ensemble, ils enregistrent plusieurs albums entre les années 1960 et 1980, notamment « Sister Muna », « Mbua Madale », « Lolo », « Sesse Ni / Eyala », « Elimbi / We Ntuba », « Enumedi / Con sabor la tumba », ainsi que « Malobe / Oko! O! » avec l’Orchestre Tumba Africa. Né le 2 décembre 1935 à Douala, au Cameroun, Manfred Ebanda est un auteur-compositeur, guitariste et interprète. Ancien comptable à l’OAPI (Organisation africaine de la propriété intellectuelle), il s’est fait connaître sur la scène makossa avec sa chanson « Amie », enregistrée en 1962 à la radio camerounaise.

In the 1960s, Manfred Ebanda forms a highly acclaimed duo with singer Villa Vienne, whom he marries in 1965. Together, they record several albums between the 1960s and 1980s, including “Sister Muna,” “Mbua Madale,” “Lolo,” “Sesse Ni / Eyala,” “Elimbi / We Ntuba,” “Enumedi / Con sabor la tumba,” as well as “Malobe / Oko! O!” with the Tumba Africa Orchestra. Born on December 2, 1935, in Douala, Cameroon, Manfred Ebanda is a singer-songwriter, guitarist, and performer. A former accountant at OAPI (African Intellectual Property Organization), he gained recognition in the makossa scene with his song “Amie,” recorded in 1962 on Cameroonian radio.
