Similar to the previous Volume 1, this album divides its focus between group and individual contributions. Although it is not more diverse than its predecessor, confining the experimentation to a single album may give that impression. “Works Volume 2” essentially serves as a compilation of various old materials (including the 1973 B side “When The Apple Blossoms Bloom”), solo singles from Keith Emerson and Greg Lake, and songs that may have been new to some listeners.
