Zelaia has been actively involved in research, folklore, arranging, and composing. He has published several volumes of Basque music written for the accordion, creating the collection called “Akordeoilaria.” Throughout his career, he has collaborated with various record labels such as Divucsa, Orion, Impact, Profile, Olympus, Star, and Herri-Gogoa. His notable recordings include the anthology series “Zazpiak bat” under the Elkar label, dedicating an album to each of the seven historical regions of Euskal-Herria. He has also released compilations and recordings such as Festara, Dantzak, and Eguberri berriak. His latest album, ‘Herritmilenio,’ was presented under the Etxe Ondo label.
