After Franco’s death in 1975, Spain experienced a cultural revolution with the youth expressing themselves through rock music. While there were some rock and jazz-rock groups before Franco’s regime ended, it was in the second half of the decade that the progressive movement exploded, with regions incorporating their musical traditions. The Basque Provinces saw a surge of folk artists and groups that blended folk music with rock after the regime ended. One such group was Errobi, which was from the French part of the Basque Country and had a distinctive sound compared to other groups. This record was released in 1985, and has electronic influences.
