Fawzi Al-Aiedy is an Iraqi multi-instrumentalist established in Paris since the 80s. He sings and plays traditional oud and oboe. Fawzi Al-Aledy’s record was made of traditional stories from the various Arab countries which he adapted into modern songs. By singing them in literary Arabic, interspersed with expressions specific to the country where the story comes from, to music that reflects both the singer’s Arab origins and his Western musical studies, Fawzi wants to make song a bridge.
