Dans la seconde moitié des années 70, Geraldine Hunt et son fils Freddie James collaborent avec le producteur canadien Tony Green. Bien que le LP “Sweet Honesty” de la mère ne connaisse pas le succès en 1978, son fils rencontre un véritable triomphe en 1979 avec le titre “Get Up And Boogie”. En 1980, Geraldine prend une nouvelle direction en cessant sa collaboration avec Green pour son album “No Way”, produit par Mike Pabon. Ce changement s’avère fructueux car l’album inclut le hit disco/funk “Can’t Fake The Feeling” et le titre “No Way” connaît également un succès notable en tant que single. Bien que Tony Green soit quelque peu mis de côté, on retrouve dans “No Way” les mêmes percussions que dans le “Get Up And Boogie” de Freddie James, suggérant peut-être la continuité de l’influence de Green en tant qu’arrangeur sur l’album.

In the second half of the 70s, Geraldine Hunt and her son Freddie James collaborated with the Canadian producer Tony Green. While the mother did not find success with her LP “Sweet Honesty” in 1978, her son, on the other hand, made waves in 1979 with the track “Get Up And Boogie.” In 1980, Geraldine took a new direction by ending her collaboration with Green for her album “No Way,” produced by Mike Pabon. This change proved to be fruitful as the album contained the disco/funk hit “Can’t Fake The Feeling,” and the title track “No Way” also enjoyed notable success as a single. Although Tony Green was somewhat set aside, “No Way” features the same percussion as Freddie James’ “Get Up And Boogie,” suggesting a possible continuation of Green’s influence as an arranger on the album.
