Originaire d’Haïti, le groupe, fondé en 1963, a connu une évolution significative au fil du temps autour du noyau formé par les quatre frères Déjean. Toutes les compositions de l’album sont écrites par les frères. Avec deux titres par face, d’une durée variant de 6 à 11 minutes, la musique est riche, grâce aux superbes cuivres et à une section rythmique imparable, ce qui la rend chaleureuse et très captivante.

Originating from Haiti, the group, established in 1963, has undergone significant evolution over time around the core of the four Déjean brothers. All compositions on the record are penned by the brothers. With two tracks per side, ranging from 6 to 11 minutes in duration, the music is rich, thanks to the superb brass and an unstoppable rhythm section, making it warm and highly engaging.
