In the 70s, it was common for bands to release double live albums, even if they weren’t great live performers. Lynyrd Skynyrd was known for their live shows, so it made sense for them to release a double live album called “One More from the Road” in 1976, right after their fourth album. Although it may have seemed quick to release a live album so soon, it was a huge success and showcased the band’s phenomenal catalog of songs. This album is worth listening to because it highlights Skynyrd’s consistent and raw sound, and their ability to carry on the Southern tradition. While not essential, fans will find it hard to stop listening once it starts.
