It is a great shame that Rachid Bahri is not more recognized in the history of music in France. From 1976 to 1988, this Algerian singer and arranger recorded seven albums under his own name, accompanied by top musicians of the time, such as drummer Pierre-Alain Dahan, bassist Sauveur Mallia, guitarist Patrice Tison, and synth master Georges Rodi, whom I have mentioned several times here. In addition to this distinguished entourage, Bahri had an amazing voice, with a gravelly tone that also exuded an almost indecent tenderness. The record is produced by Gabriel Yared.
