Suivant les traces d’ELOY, GROBSCHNITT et NOVALIS, RAMSES propose du rock progressif chanté en anglais avec des caractéristiques notables, dont d’impressionnants claviers spatiaux (synthétiseurs, Mellotron, synthé à cordes Solina) et un excellent travail de guitare. Les morceaux phares comprennent “Devil Inside”, la piste éponyme et “American Dream”, cette dernière mettant en avant un travail impressionnant au Mellotron. De manière intéressante, l’album a été distribué aux États-Unis sous le label Annuit Coeptis, remplaçant la chanson “War” par “Noise” avec une thématique environnementale. Bien que certains morceaux comme “Someone Like You” puissent sembler répétitifs, et “Garden” fonctionne mieux mais reste quelque peu répétitif, “La Leyla” pourrait ne pas atteindre le statut classique du rock progressif allemand, mais reste une addition valable à la collection.

Following the footsteps of ELOY, GROBSCHNITT, and NOVALIS, RAMSES delivers English-sung prog rock with notable features, including impressive spacy keyboards (synthesizers, Mellotron, Solina string synth) and excellent guitar work. Standout tracks include “Devil Inside,” the title track, and “American Dream,” with the title track showcasing mindblowing Mellotron work. Interestingly, the album had an American release on the Annuit Coeptis label, featuring a replacement of the song “War” with “Noise,” incorporating an environmental theme. While some tracks like “Someone Like You” come off as repetitive, and “Garden” works better but remains somewhat repetitive, “La Leyla” may not reach classic status in German prog but is still a worthwhile addition to the collection.
