Renaissance truly shines when accompanied by an orchestra, maintaining their strong baroque symphonic style. The fusion of modern keyboards with strings and horn arrangements is nothing short of sublime. Annie’s commanding lead vocals are rich and captivating. The album features two epic, roughly 10-minute tracks, “Day of the Dreamer” and “Song for All Seasons,” both among Renaissance’s finest. While there’s less acoustic guitar, the clean electric guitar seamlessly complements the ensemble. The Rickenbacker bass adds a deep, melodic layer to the music. The album shares similarities with “Song of Scheherazade,” incorporating delicate percussions that create an enchanting and graceful atmosphere.
