Todd Rundgren’s prog group Utopia dominates the sound of “L,” which is a natural choice for Utopia fans. The album is awesome, with “Lunar Musick Suite” being a favorite piece of music. The album features cover songs and “interesting choices,” but the main feature is a must-listen. “Om Nama Shivaya” is an Indian religious hymn with an amazing multiple-layered guitar solo at the end. “Hurdy Gurdy Man” and “It’s All Too Much” both have great guitar solos and weird-sounding drums. This album has a unique environment and feel, making it a great choice for anyone interested in excellent, unique music by an underrated artist.
