En 1982, Téléphone dominait la scène du rock français, mais le groupe aspirait à une renommée internationale. Pour y parvenir, ils firent appel à Bob Ezrin pour produire leur quatrième opus, “Dure Limite”. Malgré une version anglaise enregistrée, l’album fut un échec aux États-Unis. Malgré certaines critiques de commercialisation, il s’est vendu à 500 000 exemplaires en France, établissant Téléphone au sommet du rock français. Les titres emblématiques de l’album ont contribué à cette consécration, en particulier “Cendrillon” et “Ça”.

In 1982, Téléphone was at the peak of French rock, but the band dreamed of an international career. To achieve this goal, they enlisted Bob Ezrin to produce their fourth album, “Dure Limite.” Despite recording an English version, the album flopped across the Atlantic. Despite criticisms of commercialism, it sold 500,000 copies in France, firmly establishing Téléphone at the forefront of French rock. The album’s iconic tracks, particularly “Cendrillon” and “Ça,” contributed to this consecration.
