TKO, the pioneers of Seattle’s rock scene before grunge’s popularity, may have influenced some grunge artists, but they maintained their own unique sound. Although “Let It Roll” album doesn’t feature TKO’s best work, it showcases a young band finding their place in the late ’70s rock scene. The album has a distinct ’70s sound with keyboards playing a prominent role, making it more like bar-band mainstream rock rather than their later heavier style. Divebomb Records has reissued this album, including live tracks from a 1978 radio show, providing a glimpse of TKO in their early stages. For those seeking their more metal side, the reissue of “In Your Face” is recommended.
