L’album de Van der Graaf, désormais sans “Generator” dans son nom, marque un tournant avec le retour du bassiste Nic Potter et l’introduction du violoniste Graham Smith. Bien que l’absence notable de Hugh Banton et de David Jackson se fasse sentir, Jackson contribue tout de même à deux titres. Divisé en deux parties, “The Quiet Zone” et “The Pleasure Dome”, l’album propose une musique plus directe et complexe, intégrant des éléments folk et intensifiant sa progression à partir de morceaux comme “The Siren Song” et “Last Frame”. Malgré un accueil moins frénétique, cet album démontre une évolution musicale soignée, visant à reconnecter avec son public.
